People with disabilities face challenges routinely.   Actively participating in everyday life both in the home or community. They are more likely to experience poor health, disrespect, discrimination and violence than those without a disability.

This is a fact of our society that needs to change and change fast.

People with disability are diverse, having different types and levels of disability, coming from all demographic and socioeconomic groups, and having varying needs for assistance.  A person may have been born with the disability, attained it through an accident, or developed it over time.

Some people describe their actual disability as appearing “Normal”.  People in our society place expectations on people based on their appearance, not their “Capabilities
