When Appealing a Decision, one of the first steps you should do is submit a Transparency of Information Request.  

This way when you submit the Appeal you can list out the information and address the reasons why the funding was not allocated in the areas required.

In this example:

  • Insufficient funding for assistance in the home and community.
  • Health and Welfare of the Primary Carer not taken into account in regard to Respite.
  • Functional Assessment not taken into account for Core Support, Low Cost AT, Consumables and Capital Supports.
  • Change from NDIA Managed to Plan Managed
  • Transport insufficient
